privacy
birthday & gift tracker is built to hold as little as possible, and to keep what it does hold private to your family.
what i collect
the people you track — their name, birthday, relationship to you, group, and notes.
gift history — who gave what to whom, the occasion, an estimated amount, and notes.
gift ideas you save — a title, occasion, target date, estimated amount, a link, and notes.
your browser locally remembers a family-access token per tracker (so you don't have to re-enter the link) — this stays on your device and isn't gift or person data.
what i use it for
reminding you of upcoming birthdays, and showing your gift history and ideas so you don't repeat or forget a gift.
what i'll never do
sell your data, run ads against it, or share your tracker with anyone outside the family you invite.
where your data lives
in a private, access-controlled postgres database. there's no public listing — your tracker's pages use a separate, long, unguessable link, so access is controlled by having that link, not an account check.
if you open your tracker from homebase, your homebase account email is shown in that session's page header only — the tracker doesn't store it.
your data, your call
remove a person, a gift record, or an idea any time from the tracker. email me if you want a tracker's data gone for good.
